SUPPORTED FILE FORMATS & ACCEPTED MEDIA
  • Pixel Files :: tiff, jpg, psd
  • Vector Layout Files :: Save your work in the native format of the appliation you are working with.
    - Illustrator :: .ai (printable .pdf as well as .eps filees are acceptable)
    - InDesign :: .indd (printable .pdf as well as .eps filees are acceptable)
  • Accepted Media :: cd, dvd, zip, xd picture card, secure digital card, memory stick, smart media, compact flash, pc card.
  • RESOLUTION GUIDELINES
  • For Pixel Images, sizes 10x15 and under ::
    b- for best/fine detail :: 300dpi @ final print size
    b- for normal resutls :: 200dpi @ final print size
    b- for adequate resutls :: 100dpi @ final print size
  • For Pixel Images, sizes 11x14-30x40 ::
    b- for best/fine detail :: 150dpi @ final print size
    b- for normal results :: 100dpi@final print size
    b- for adequate results:: 75dpi@final print size
  • For Pixel Images, sizes 30x40 and larger ::
    b- contact customer service for detials on large format printing
  • DIGITAL FILE SPECIFICATIONS
  • It is not necessary to create your project at 100% of the final size. You may scale so that the dimensions are proportional to the final size. Be sure to note this scaling.
  • Please provide 1/8" of bleed on all sides of your final print dimensions.

  • FONTS AND SUPPORTING FILES
  • Provide screen and printer fonts files for any fonts used iin your layouts OR provide all fonts as outlines.
  • All files used in building your layout (images, etc) must be provided, including embedded images.
  • COLOR REQUIREMENTS
  • Be advised that we can't match what you see on your monitor unless you have a properfly calibrated monitor and identical color settings.
  • Abar uses and recommends North American General Pupose 2 : U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 for CMYK images and sRGB IEC61966-2.1 for RGB images.

  • Is your file an accepted format and media?
  • Is your pixel file the appropriate resolution?.
  • Is your file the appropriate proportion for your output?
  • Does your file have the necessary bleed?
  • Have you included all screen and print fonts in a fonts folder? Or are your fonts embedded?
